Think about how many people sit together and where the sofa will face. Compare the overall footprint with the usable seating area. A broad arm or deep back changes how much room a sofa takes without adding another seat.
Check the route into the room
Measure the delivery route as well as the living room. Use each carton’s dimensions where available and confirm any removable parts before relying on them for access.

Are matching chairs or cushions included?

Does seat count tell me how large a sofa will be?
Not reliably. Compare the stated overall dimensions and usable seating space, especially when a design has broad arms, a chaise or separate modules.
What extra space does a recliner need?
