Before you begin
Check every carton has arrived, lay out the parts on a protected surface and compare them with the instructions. Allow enough space and suitable help for lifting. Keep packaging away from children and pets.
If a part is missing or damaged, stop and contact us before assembly. Avoid improvising a fixing or modifying the furniture to force a fit.
Assemble in the right order
Use the tools and sequence specified for the product. Do not fully tighten fasteners until the instructions direct you to; overtightening can damage panels and hardware. Fit required safety restraints and check stability before use.
Use an installer where the product, wall type, weight or electrical work requires one. Recheck connections after the initial settling period and after moving the furniture, following the manufacturer’s advice.
Timber, veneer and painted finishes
Dust with a soft cloth and wipe spills promptly. Use coasters or mats for hot, wet or rough items. Avoid soaking edges, abrasive cleaners and unapproved solvents. Test a suitable cleaning method in an inconspicuous area first.
Keep indoor furniture away from sustained moisture, direct heat and intense sunlight. Lift rather than drag when moving it.
Fabric and upholstery
Follow the cleaning label for the specific fabric. Vacuum gently with an appropriate attachment and blot spills instead of rubbing. Do not remove or machine-wash a cover unless its instructions allow it.
Rotate or dress cushions where the design allows. Normal softening and texture changes can occur with use, but contact us about an unexpected failure rather than assuming it is ordinary wear.
Outdoor and metal furniture
Clean with the method stated for the coating or material and dry after cleaning. Store cushions and protect furniture during severe weather. Coastal salt, pool chemicals and standing water can require extra care; follow the product-specific guidance.
Inspect fixings, welds, joints and hanging supports periodically. Stop using any item with a damaged load-bearing part.
Mattresses and beds
Use the correct supportive base and a suitable protector. Follow the instructions for unpacking, expansion, rotation and ventilation; not every mattress should be flipped. Do not exceed a bed or mechanism’s stated load limit.
Keep the product label and care information for future support.
